Network MIDI is just as versatile as wired MIDI, so can carry anything a wired connection can, including -
MIDI Time Code (MTC),
MIDI Machine Control (MMC),
and the HUI MIDI Mapping protocol.
For this tutorial we'll concentrate on MTC and MMC.
In this video we'll learn -
How to download and install Network MIDI services on your Microsoft Windows machine,
How to link up to Apple Mac machines on the same network,
and How To set up Pro Tools to control other software over Network MIDI.
I'll be using rtpMIDI to bring the same Network MIDI functions to Microsoft Windows as exist in Apple OSX.
