In this video tutorial for Production Expert, Technical Editor James Ivey visits Dax Liniere at North London's Puzzle Factory Studio to talk about using Dynamic EQ, instead of the more conventional "static" EQ to fix problems in your mix without creating new ones. Dax demonstrates two different Dynamic EQ plug-ins. First, we see and hear Nova by Tokyo Dawn Records in use on Acoustic then Electric guitars. We then get to see how Dax used Fab Filters Pro MB on Drums to add weight to Snare in an overhead track and add power to a lacklustre kick drum sound.
