In this video, Mike outlines why applications like iZotope RX Elements are needed in an increasingly noisy world with examples of the kinds of problems iZotope RX Elements can be used for.
Mike shows how to use the Dialog De-noise plug-in to treat audio in real-time with no latency as a plug-in in Pro Tools, explains and demonstrates the De-clip plug-in in action with an overloaded recording on a speedboat, shows how to use the De-click plug-in to reduce other kinds of distortion, demonstrates the De-hum plug-in in action with a file that has nearly as much hum as the wanted signal including the adaptive hum feature, explains and demonstrates the De-click plugin in action with a very scratched vinyl record, as well as other uses for the De-click plug-in like removing mouth clicks, as well as clicks from excessive use of a plectrum on Bass and acoustic guitar.
Even though Mike uses these modules as plugins in Pro Tools, the techniques he shows in this video are the same when using the modules within the RX Elements standalone editor application.
